Public transportation in Vienna is some of the finest and most extensive you will find in Europe. You can connect to a form of public transport within a 5-10 minute walk from pretty much anywhere in Vienna. The pricing of public transport is a approx. 30 Euro a month, which allows you to move around Vienna freely and quickly.

Public transportation often runs underground.

There is a vast network of trains, buses, trams and metros (U-Bahn) that connect all 23 districts of Vienna seamlessly.

U-Bahn

The U-Bahn is the most efficient and fastest way to get around town. There are currently 5 different lines that run underground. The U1, U2, U3, U4 and U6.

Trams

Trams run above ground—with often breathtaking views—and have a long history of serving to transport the Viennese around town. They run frequently and extensively throughout the city.
